Helping the farmers!

Mandi Project helps farmers stay updated with the latest price of agricultural commodities and weather report by dialing a (soon to be) toll free number and enquiring in their native language. This automated system is powered by an interactive speech recognition engine that has been developed by a consortium of eleven institutions (IIT-M, IIT-KGP, IIT-B, IIT-G, IIIT-Hyd, TIFR, BIT-Mesra, DA-IICT, SIT-Tumkur, IIT-Bhubaneshwar & CDAC-Kol) and is coordinated by IIT-Madras. The project is funded by TDIL & MeitY, India.
